Skin Cancer

Skin Cancer is a common disease that’s thought to develop when the skin is exposed to ultraviolet rays. Depending on the type of skin, this exposure can be limited and still lead to the development of some form of skin cancer. Fair skin burns easily in the Sun. As the Sun is the leading source of Ultraviolet (UV) radiation that people are regularly exposed to it’s important to protect yourself when in the Sun.I have methods that can help prevent skin cancer. It’ll concentrate on Sunscreen and how it works to your skin protection.

Sunscreen is not the only thing that can be used for skin cancer protection but  it should be viewed as a part of an overall strategy that limits your exposure to Ultra Violet rays.

UV radiation

Avoid going out in the Sun when it’s strongest. You must take the steps for protecting  yourself form UV radiation whenever  going in the sun and especially if it is for a long time. Either you are going to the pool or beach can increase the sun’s affects because water and sand reflect the sun and increase UV (Ultra Violet) radiation.

When you are going in the sun, wear the proper clothing to keep you cool and protected from the sun. Light-colored clothing is best, because it reflects sun and keeps you cooler. Avoid black or dark clothing. You can also use hat with wide brim. Because hat can help shield your face, ears, nose, eyes, and even neck from the sun. After you have done these things you should then consider wearing sunscreen. Cover the parts of your body (like arms and legs) that aren’t covered by clothing.

Another way to prevent skin cancer is to have a routine skin exam at your dermatologist each year. You can also check your own skin for signs of cancer. Look for new spots on the skin, or spots or moles that have changed in color, size or shape.
